What is Stairpay?
We’ve partnered with Stairpay, the home of gradual ownership, to bring you a great tool that helps you buy more shares in your home.
Stairpay is an online platform with features like an equity planner, which shows what your share might be worth in the future, and a staircasing calculator that lets you model buying more of your home. It also provides regular valuations, such as monthly House Price Index updates, so you can track the value of the portion you already own.
Stairpay also delivers educational content through the Stairpay Academy to help you understand all things shared ownership.
What are the benefits of Stairpay?
Because you can model the cost of buying an additional share, compare different scenarios, and track your home’s value, you’ll be in a stronger position to make informed decisions. It also helps us support you when you’re ready to purchase more shares.

Things to remember
Using a tool like Stairpay is helpful, but you still need to check the details of your own lease — for example, whether you’re allowed to staircase to 100% and how your home must be valued. Make sure you understand the terms of your lease.
Even with Stairpay, it’s important to do your own financial planning, either on your own or with an adviser, to make sure any plans fit your overall budget and long‑term goals.
